CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Boston University women's tennis team (6-2, 1-0 PL) swept MIT (2-1, 0-0 NEWMAC), 7-0, Saturday afternoon. In the victory, BU earned the win on all three doubles courts and won five singles matches in straight sets.

Kaitlin Tan secured the doubles point with a 6-2 win in the No. 2 spot moments later.

In singles, BU claimed the win with results from the Nos. 2, 4 and 1 spots, respectively. Carlsten won first in a 6-3, 6-3 decision. Tan was not far behind, waxing her opponent 6-0 in both sets to put BU up 3-0. Grad student
Shelly Yaloz sealed the deal with a 6-3, 6-3 win of her own at the top spot. Play continued on all remaining courts and BU came away with the win on each of them.
