WINCHESTER, Mass. – The Boston University women's tennis team (7-2, 1-0 PL) took down Dartmouth (3-6, 0-0 IVY), 6-1, on Sunday afternoon. After coming back to secure the doubles point, the Terriers won on five singles courts in straight sets.
 
Sophomore Michelle Kleynerman and freshman Emily Zhao were quick to win at the No. 3 spot with an efficient 6-1 result. Dartmouth fought back and won in the No. 2 spot, but senior Erica Di Battista and junior Katlin Tan held on at the top of the lineup. They won in a 6-4 result to give BU the doubles point. 
 
In singles, Tan was the first to earn a point in the No. 4 spot. She took down her opponent in an efficient 6-1, 6-2 victory. At the bottom of the lineup, freshman Navya Vadlamudi earned a 6-1, 6-3 win to help BU go up 3-0 and inch closer to the victory.
 
On Court 2, Carlsten played a close first set but came away with the 6-4 win. She dominated in the second set to win 6-1 and clinched the win for the Terriers. Play continued throughout the rest of the singles lineup and BU came away with two additional wins.
 
The Terriers will be back in action on March 6 when they start a week-long trip to California at Cal State Northridge. The match is set to start at 5 p.m. ET.
