- Durant made a layup to open the third, then Johnson picked off a pass and hit a midrange jumper to close the gap to 37-32.
- A 7-0 Crusader gave the home team its largest lead at the time, 44-32, but the Terriers countered with a 9-1 spurt, with Durant scoring six of the points to make it 45-41 with under a minute in the stanza.
- Trailing by eight entering the fourth quarter, BU didn't score its first points in the frame until the 5:03 mark, when Johnson's jumper pulled the visitors within 52-43.
- The Terriers scored five straight on Giannaros' three and Durant's jumper to make it 57-48 with 2:51 to play, but BU was shutout the rest of the way.
