Women's Tennis Falls to No. 38 Yale

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Boston University women's tennis team dropped a 4-1 contest at No. 38 Yale on Saturday afternoon. In the loss, BU picked up one doubles win and freshman Uma Bakaityte earned a win in singles.

In doubles, senior Kaitlin Tan and sophomore Emily Zhao played at line two and won 6-3 over their Yale opponents. Despite picking up the win at the middle of the lineup, Yale took the doubles point. 

Yale went up 3-0 with wins in singles before BU got on the board. Bakaityte earned an efficient 6-3, 6-3 win at the No. 2 spot to secure BU's only point of the match. Shortly thereafter, Yale won its fourth and final point to take the match.

BU will host Holy Cross for the start of Patriot League play on Saturday, March 30. Weather permitting, the match will be played outside at the Case Courts at 4 p.m.
