BOSTON – Concluding a two-game homestand, the Boston University men's basketball team will host defending Patriot League champion Colgate on Wednesday night with tip-off slated for 7 p.m.
The Terriers successfully rallied from their second 15+ point deficit of the season in conference play this past Saturday, earning a 72-71 win over Lehigh following an earlier 60-58 win at Loyola Maryland. Sitting atop the PL standings, the Raiders most recently extended their win streak to seven games with back-to-back home wins over the military academies by a combined 43 points.
TERRIER TIDBITS
- BU is 5-5 at home with a 2-3 mark against PL competition. The Terriers earned wins against Lehigh and also American (72-68).
- With his career-high 21 points against the Mountain Hawks, freshman Michael McNair became the 12th Terrier to score in double figures. That's tied for second nationally alongside Texas State with Cornell in the lead at 13 players. BU though leads the country with 11 players to reach the mark against an NCAA Division I opponent.
- Senior Miles Brewster tallied 17 points against Lehigh to increase his team-leading scoring average to 10.0 ppg. He also leads BU at 3.3 apg and 1.6 spg.
- Junior Ethan Okwuosa tallied a season-high 16 points in the last meeting with Colgate and currently ranks fourth on the team at 8.0 ppg.
- Sophomore Otto Landrum (8.4 ppg, 6.0 rpg) earned nine rebounds against the Raiders alongside seven points.
- BU is averaging 64.0 ppg and 40.1 FG% while holding opponents to 65.7 ppg and 42.2 FG%.
SCOUTING COLGATE
- The Raiders are 7-6 away from home this season with key non-conference wins against Weber State (57-55) and Vermont (77-71) alongside a 79-75 loss at Syracuse.
- Colgate is 4-0 on the road against PL competition, winning all four contests by at least eight points. The Raiders most recently earned a 73-54 win at American back on Jan. 27.
- 6-foot-0 guard Braeden Smith owns a team-high 13.0 ppg with 5.6 apg, 5.5 rpg and 1.9 apg, while 6-foot-7 forward Ryan Moffatt is averaging 10.6 ppg alongside 4.5 rpg.
- 6-foot-10 forward Keegan Records (9.9 ppg) leads Colgate at 6.7 rpg and is tied with 6-foot-11 forward Jeff Woodward at 22 blocks.
- Colgate is averaging 71.3 ppg and 45.3 FG% while holding opponents to 64.7 ppg and 41.7 FG%.
SERIES HISTORY
- Colgate leads the all-time series, 33-30, having won the last four meetings with three of them occurring in New York.
- The Raiders are seeking their second consecutive regular season sweep following a 75-59 win back on Jan. 20 in which the Terriers held a 33-28 halftime lead.
- Colgate posted a 11-6 advantage in made 3-pointers and 18-9 lead in made free throws.
- The Raiders earned a 64-51 win in their last visit to Case Gym with BU last winning at home in 2022 with a 76-72 decision.

- In the previous meeting at Case Gym, the Bison saw their 20-point lead cut to six with 4:44 remaining before pulling away for a 73-57 victory.
