BALTIMORE, Md. – Down 12 at the half, the Boston University men's basketball team rallied for a thrilling 68-67 victory at Loyola Maryland to complete the regular season sweep Saturday night.
The Terriers (11-14, 4-8 PL) shot 49.1 percent from the field and held the Greyhounds (8-17, 3-9 PL) to 30.4 FG% over the final 20 minutes for their fourth straight win in the series.

Walter Whyte posted a game-high 18 points and six rebounds, while junior
Miles Brewster posted a career-high 13 points with three assists. Graduate student
Jonas Harper flushed all four treys in the second half, including the go-ahead 3-pointer at 3:20. Freshman
Otto Landrum added nine points off the bench, and graduate student
Fletcher Tynen tallied seven points with three steals.
Kenneth Jones led Loyola with 16 points and four assists. Deon Perry duplicated Jones' efforts with four 3-pointers alongside three steals and three assists, while Jaylin Andrews posted 11 points. Golden Dike hauled in a game-high nine rebounds and added six points.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- There were nine lead changes in the first half with Loyola grabbing a 10-6 lead on Jones' first of four 3-pointers at 17:15.
- Whyte and Tynen flushed back-to-back treys in response during an 8-0 spurt.
- Perry drained 3-pointers on back-to-back possessions to give Loyola a 21-18 lead at 12:47.
- Senior Nevin Zink pulled the Terriers within two, 36-34, on a hook shot at 3:25 before Jones scored from behind the arc to ignite a 10-0 run capped by Alonso Faure's 3-pointer at 40 seconds to help Loyola enter the locker room ahead, 46-34.
- Harper started the second half with his first 3-pointer that was followed by back-to-back layups from Brewster.
- Whyte added two more buckets to tie the game, and Harper netted another 3-pointer at 14:49 for the 49-46 lead.
- Landrum scored five straight points on a layup, free throw, steal and emphatic slam dunk for the 59-50 advantage at 12:22.
- The Greyhounds chipped away and eventually tied the game, 63-63, with 3:46 remaining on Andrews' 3-pointer.
- Following a called timeout, Harper hit a step back bomb to grab the lead for good.
- Facing a 68-63 deficit following Brewster's two free throws, Velijko Ilic scored on a layup at 1:10 and Perry netted two free throws with 43 seconds remaining.
- BU missed a contested layup on its final possession but held on for the win, as the Greyhounds missed a tough layup shot and 3-pointer at the buzzer set up by an offensive rebound.
GAME NOTES
- Whyte is just 19 points away from becoming the eighth Terrier to reach 1,600 points.
- Whyte's two 3-pointers put him at 10th place all-time at 180 career treys, while his six rebounds put him at No. 5 all-time in rebounds with 785 total.
- Harper has hit at least four 3-pointers in a game four times this season and at least three eight times.
- Landrum played a season-high 18 minutes.
- Despite the Greyhounds posting an 11-7 advantage in offensive rebounds, BU had an 11-8 edge in second-chance points.
- BU overcame its third double-digit deficit of conference play following earlier come-from-behind wins against Bucknell (down 13) and Lafayette (down 10).
- The Terriers also outscored Loyola off turnovers (12-8), fastbreaks (12-9) and in bench production, 16-11.
- BU is now 17-7 against Loyola, having won eight of the last nine contests.
