BOSTON – Returning to Nickerson Field for another Saturday afternoon on the pitch, the Boston University women's soccer team will host Colgate on Saturday, March 13 at 3 p.m.

The Terriers are coming off a 2-0 setback to 2 Army last Saturday in its spring season opener. Despite the loss, BU displayed its depth as 20 student-athletes earned playing time. Ann Marie Jaworski earned her first start at the midfield in 845 days. The senior co-captain missed the 2019 season due to injury and has overcome two ACL tears during her time at BU. Two freshmen in Grace Ferrara and Lily Matthews earned the start in their collegiate debuts, while Kiley Bertos, Abigail McNulty and Alyssa Bourgeois also made their first appearances.

Colgate is coming off a 2-1 defeat to Loyola on Monday to even its record to 1-1 on the season. The Raiders snapped BU's 53-game unbeaten streak in home conference games in the last matchup in 2019 with a 1-0 decision. From that 2019 team, four of its top five scorers return, including Preseason All-Patriot League honoree Sage DiGiulio. Ruby Diodati current leads the Raiders with three points on one goal and one assist. Sophia Boggs has started both games in net, saving .600 percent of shots on frame and holds a 1.10 goals against average.
