NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Facing its second Ivy League opponent of the weekend, the Boston University women's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision at Yale on Sunday afternoon.

The Bulldogs (5-7) won two doubles matches for the first point and claimed five singles points to defeat the Terriers (7-7).

Sophomore Barbara Rodriguez led BU with a 6-3, 7-6(6) victory at No. 4 singles. Freshman Iryna Kostirko tried to mount a rally after dropping a first-set tiebreaker but came up just short, 7-6(6), 3-6, 1-0(7), in the No. 3 slot.

BU will remain on the road and next visit UConn on Thursday (April 2) for a 3 p.m. start time.
