BOSTON - The BU women's soccer seniors accounted for four points and the game-winner against American in the 3-0 win on Senior Day at Nickerson Field this Sunday. The Terriers (11-4-3, 5-1-2 PL) finished the season without losing a single conference match at home to keep its streak of 30 games alive--the nation's longest active unbeaten streak.

Senior forward Taylor Krebs scored the game-winning goal for the second game in a row and was assisted by classmate Jamie Turchi. Senior forward Ana Cuffia also contributed an assist on the second goal of the game. Prior to the start of the match, Krebs, Turchi and Cuffia along with their classmates Ariana Aston, Dara DeMatteo, Alyssa Parisi, Kai Miller, Katherine Lim and team manager Emily Ficke, were honored for their four years at BU.

During their time here, the seniors amassed a 56-17-9 overall record and a remarkable 29-2-2 mark in conference games. The group captured two America East Regular Season Titles, an America East Championship and last season the school's first-ever Patriot League Championship.

The Terriers got off to a quick shot and got three shots on net within the first 24 minutes before Krebs was able to net the game-winner. After Jenna Fisher worked the ball into the box, an American defender tried to clear the ball but it ended up hitting Turchi and coming out in front of the net where Krebs was able to send it home to give BU the win.

Boston U. kept possession for the majority of the rest of the first half, save for one slip up that nearly tied the game. American's Michaela Garcia sent a shot to Parisi's far side that somehow hit the post, missing the wide open net by inches.

The Terriers came out of halftime firing and put five shots on net before scoring the second goal of the game in the 53rd minute. Cuffia pressured the net, sending three shots at the goalie, the last of which popped out and was tipped in by Fisher to add to the Terrier lead.

The Eagles were allowed just one shot throughout the second half, which was taken between BU's two goals of the half. American's Kira Flaherty sent a shot that was blocked by a BU defender, which gave the Eagles their first corner of the match in the 71st minute. Despite two straight tries from the right corner, American couldn't put together an offensive effort.

The Terriers scored their final goal of the game in the 80th minute when Alex Schlobohm recorded her first career point by passing the ball up to Clare Pleuler, who beat the defender and sent it to the back of the net to give BU a 3-0 advantage with 10 minutes to play.

Neither team put together any more offensive tries for the remainder of the game and the Terriers came away with the win.

BU wraps up the regular season on Saturday, Nov. 1 at Bucknell. The game is slated to begin at noon.
