MANCHESTER, Mass. - Sophomore Leonie-Charlotte Athanasiadis earned a victory in both singles and doubles, as the Boston University women's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to No. 41 Brown on Sunday afternoon at the Manchester Athletic Club.

The Bears won two of the three doubles matches and five of the six singles contests to improve to 10-3 on the season, while the Terriers dropped to 4-3.

In doubles action, junior Jessi Linero and Athanasiadis opened the day with an 8-5 win in the No. 2 slot. Athanasiadis followed with a victory at No. 2 singles. She dropped the first set but then won nine of the next 12 games before Cassandra Herzberg retired.

Freshman Sami Lieb won BU's other set at No. 5 in a hard-fought 7-5, 4-6, 10-7 loss to Julie Flanzer.

The Terriers will next host No. 19 Yale on Thursday (March 8) at 3 p.m.
