Results

HANOVER, N.H. - The Boston University women's tennis team continued its fall schedule this past weekend at the three-day Big Green Invitational, which featured host Dartmouth, 2012 NCAA participant Yale and in-state rival UMass.

Freshman Lauren Davis led the Terriers with two victories in both singles and doubles. She opened the tournament with a 6-0, 6-3 loss to Yale's Blair Seideman, who finished last season ranked seventh in the northeast region.

Following the defeat, Davis bounced back with two three-set wins. She first defeated UMass' Sonja Bokhari, 4-6, 6-3, 6-1 and then battled Dartmouth's 2012 All-Ivy League First Team honoree Sarah Leonard to a hard-fought 5-7, 6-4, 7-5 victory. Leonard finished last season at the No. 8 slot in the region.

During doubles, Davis teamed with junior Leonie-Charlotte Athanasiadis for an 8-6 win over UMass and with freshman Madison Craft for an 8-4 victory against Dartmouth.

In other singles action, sophomore Sami Lieb topped UMass' Yulia Motyl, 6-4, 6-1, after she worked with Craft for a 9-8 win in doubles against the Minutewomen.

BU will conclude the fall schedule this weekend at the three-day Harvard Invitational (Nov. 9-11).
