Women's Tennis Competes at ITA Northeast Regional

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Boston University women's tennis team earned three singles victories and a doubles win during the USTA/ITA Northeast Regional over the weekend at Yale University.

With seniors Stefanie Nunic and Petra Santini out due to injury, junior Vivien Laszloffy led the way with an appearance in the round of 32. She pulled out a 6-4, 6-3 win over Army's Natalie Allen before falling to third-seeded Nicole Bartnik (Columbia), 6-3, 6-1.

Junior Jessi Linero and senior Monika Mical also picked up first round victories before beling eliminated. In doubles, Linero teamed with sophomore Leonie-Charlotte Athanasiadis for a 1-1 record.

The Terriers will next compete at Dartmouth's Big Green Invitational on Nov. 4-6.
