The Boston University men's cross country team concluded its 2008 season on Saturday morning with a 20th-place finish at the NCAA Northeast Regional at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx. Senior David Proctor paced the Terriers with a 73rd-place finish of the 239 runners in the field.
Iona repeated as regional champions with 46 points and a first-place finish from senior Mohamed Khadraoui (31:11.6). Providence was second with 88 points. BU was 20th in the 33-team field with 536 points.
Proctor led the way for the Terriers, navigating the 10k course in 33:57.0. Freshmen Elliot Lehane and Peter Gilmore finished in 91st and 93rd at 34:22.2 and 34:23.1, respectively. Junior David Polgar came in 126th with a 35:13.7 and sophomore Ken Haltom rounded out BU's scoring with a 153rd-place finish in 35:42.9.
Senior Tom McLean (180th, 36:09.2) and sophomore James Weider (193rd, 36:35.8) were the Terriers' other entrants in the meet.
