BOSTON – In a matchup featuring the top two Patriot League preseason selections, the Boston University men's basketball team will visit defending conference champion Bucknell on Tuesday with tip-off slated for 7 p.m.

TERRIER TIDBITS

Coming off a 90-82 home win over Army, the Terriers are looking to start conference play with a streak for the fifth straight year ... They won six in 2013-14, won three in 2014-15, lost three in 2015-16 and won five last season.
BU is 3-4 on the road this season with wins at Maine (78-69), New Hampshire (70-69) and Bethune-Cookman (90-87) ... The Terriers have lost their last two road contests at Harvard (74-63) and UMass Lowell (87-82).
Senior Cedric Hankerson owns a team-high 14.8 ppg after posting 33 against Army West Point ... The point total was the most by a Terrier in regulation in a PL game and one shy of Hankerson's personal best.
Sophomore Max Mahoney (11.3 ppg, 5.0 rpg) has made both of his first two career starts memorable this season ... He first had a personal-best 29 points and 11 rebounds at UMass Lowell and then followed up Friday against Army with 12 points, six rebounds, a career-high five assists and career-tying three blocks.
Freshman Walter Whyte (7.8 ppg) recorded a season-high 16 points against the Black Knights while tallying a team-high six rebounds.
Sophomore Tyler Scanlon (7.8 ppg) leads BU in both steals (1.6 spg) and assists (2.7 apg), while freshman Javante McCoy (8.0 ppg) is averaging 2.0 apg and 1.2 spg, respectively.
BU owns the nation's worst free throw shooting percentage at 56.9 FT% but is looking to get back on track after shooting 18-of-25 (.720) against Army.
As a team, the Terriers are averaging 73.2 ppg and 46.0 FG% while holding opponents to 75.0 ppg and 46.3 FG%, respectively.

SCOUTING BUCKNELL

The Bison are 5-0 at home this season with victories over Siena (115-92), Ball State (87-83), defending America East champion Vermont (81-77), La Salle (88-81) and American (84-55) ... Overall, Bucknell is on a 15-game home win streak.
Bucknell lost twice in December at VCU (85-79) and Northeastern (82-64).
6-foot-7 forward and 2017 All-PL First Team member Zach Thomas is averaging a team-high 22.7 ppg and 8.9 rpg with 2.4 apg
Reigning PL Player & Defensive Player of the Year and 6-foot-10 center Nana Foulland averages 17.6 ppg and 6.3 rpg, while 5-foot-11 guard Stephen Brown averages 12.4 ppg and team-high 5.2 apg.
Bucknell ranks 48th nationally in scoring offense (82.1 ppg) and 332nd in scoring defense (81.8 ppg) ... The Bison also rank 65th in FG% (.478)

SERIES HISTORY

Bucknell owns a 10-3 record against the Terriers in a series that dates back to 2005-06, having won the last seven meetings.
BU previously won on the road, 64-61, on Jan. 25, 2014.
Last season at Sojka Pavilion, BU led, 29-22, at the half and 52-46 with 7:44 left before the Bison went on a 10-0 run ... Bucknell owned an 18-5 advantage in made FTs for the 70-59 victory.
In the last meeting, Bucknell led 45-36 at Case Gym with 18:16 remaining before going on a 17-1 run to put the game away ... PL Player of the Year Nana Foulland had 20 points and six blocks.
