Senick and Wuest Each Victorious at Battle of Beantown

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Senior Joel Senick and junior Sam Wuest each won an event as the Boston University men’s track & field team competed at the Battle of Beantown on Friday night at Harvard.
Senick won the 400m dash with an IC4A-qualifying time of 48.75, while Wuest claimed the high jump with a mark of 1.98m. The Terriers finished in fourth with 66.50 points, with Harvard (191), Northeastern (156.50) and MIT (70) rounding out the field.
Senior Robert Gibson shined in the one mile run, as he set a personal-best with a time of 4:08.02, which was good for second place. His time also broke the previous meet record of 4:08.85. Fellow senior Craig MacPherson was third in the event with an IC4A-qualifying time of 4:10.29.
Junior Matt Paulson also qualified for the IC4As, as he finished second in the 800m run (1:53.05). The mark is a personal best for Paulson.
BU will be back in action on Feb. 11, as the Terriers host the Valentine Invitational at 9 a.m.
