Merkle, DiPietro Named Rookies of the Week

Freshmen Allison Merkle(Baltimore, MD), who helped lead the Terrier women's soccer team to a weekend sweep of Hofstra and Drexel, and Rick DiPietro(Winthrop, Mass.), whose 25 saves were pivotal in the hockey team's 3-2 win over Providence, have been named Rookies of the Week by America East and Hockey East, respectively.
