Terriers Finish Fourth at Patriot League Championships
October 31, 2025 | Women's Cross Country
BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Both the Boston University men's and women's cross country teams ran to fourth-place finishes at the 2025 Patriot League Cross Country Championships on Friday.
The men finished with 117 points, trailing American (116), Army West Point (58) and Navy (28). The women finished with 120 points, behind Navy (99), Bucknell (48) and Army West Point (21).
For the men's side, the fourth-place finish continues a streak of top-five finishes at the Patriot League Championships dating back to when the Terriers first competed at the event in 2013. The women have now finished in the top half of the league every year since 2018.
Senior Parker Schneider led the men with a seventh-place finish (24:33.6) and was named to the All-Patriot League first team for the second time in his career, following his fourth-place finish in 2023.
Senior Tucker Bowerfind followed Schneider, taking 20th with a 25:08.9 mark. Then it was sophomore Dan Hruska who crossed the line next, placing 27th in 25:30.9. Senior Freddy Collins finished 26th in 25:48.2 and closing out the top five was freshman Greg Poisson with a 25:53.6 time.
The women were led by junior Merem Gabriel-Rodriguez, who finished 19th with a time of 21:33.1. She was followed by senior Sammy Seabury in 22nd with a 21:37.0 mark. Then it was junior Abby Waddington, who crossed the line in 21:41.4, good for 25th. Junior Adrienne Buettner-Cable was right behind her, posting a 21:42.0 time, and rounding out the top five was sophomore Luna Scorzelli, who finished 31st in 21:45.8.
The Terriers will next head to the NCAA Northeast Regionals, held in Hopkinton, New Hampshire on Friday, Nov. 14.
