
Keller Earns Fifth Hockey East Rookie of the Week Honor

WAKEFIELD, Mass. - After helping the No. 7/6 Boston University men's ice hockey team clinch a share of the Hockey East regular-season title on the final day of the season, freshman Clayton Keller has been named the Pro Ambitions Hockey East Rookie of the Week for the fifth time this season, it was announced by the league office on Monday.
Needing a win in the regular-season finale to force a three-way tie at the top of the league standings, the Terriers did just that, posting a 4-1 home victory over No. 13/14 Notre Dame with Keller scoring a pair of third-period goals. He also added an assist in Friday's 3-1 loss to the Irish.
Despite missing seven games due to injury and another because of World Juniors, Keller leads the Terriers in points with 38 on 19 goals and 19 assists. With one more goal and one more assist, he will become just the eighth rookie in program history to tally 20 of each.
Keller in tops in the nation amongst freshmen in points per game at 1.46, which ranks ninth overall. He has scored at least one point in 20 of his past 21 games.
