RESULTS

BOSTON - Led by a remarkable performance by senior Toria Levy who won four gold medals, the Boston University women's track & field team claimed second place at the 2017 Patriot League Indoor Track & Field Championship, which concluded Sunday at the Track and Tennis Center. BU finished with 163 points, behind only PL Champion Bucknell (180) and ahead of third-place finisher Navy (112).
 
Levy won the 60m hurdles, the 200m dash and 500m dash in individual events. The Weston, Fla., native broke the Patriot League record in the 60m hurdles early on Sunday with a time of 8:57 and then later broke the PL record in the 500m dash with a time of 1:11.94. Levy also won gold in the 200m dash with a time of 24:55. Levy then helped BU win the final event of the meet for good measure, taking home her fourth gold medal as part of BU's 4x400 medley relay team, which finished with a time of 3:39.66, breaking yet another PL record. After the meet, Levy was named Female Track Athlete of the Year by the Patriot League for the second consecutive year.
 
Sophomore Lovie Burleson also had an outstanding meet. She won gold in the long jump on Saturday with a jump of 5.84m (19' 2") to win her second consecutive Patriot League title in the event. On Sunday, she won the triple jump with a 12.56m (41' 2.50") effort, which was just .07 meters off the PL record she set at last year's championship. After the meet, Burleson was named Patriot League Female Field Athlete of the Meet.
 
Also winning gold for BU in the 4x400m relay along with Levy and breaking the PL record in the process with a time of 3:39.66, were junior Ayodele Adesanya, freshman Leah Fowlkes and senior Djenne Parris.
 
On Friday, senior Christy Molloy won silver in the pentathlon with 3400 points to earn BU eight team points.
