BU Athletics Achieves 100% Staff Giving for First Time in School History

BOSTON - Thanks to the generosity of its coaches and staff members, the Boston University Department of Athletics has added another benchmark to the list of milestones achieved during the 2015-16 academic year. The department has announced that 100 percent of its full-time employees have participated in the staff-giving initiative and made a gift this academic year in support of BU student-athletes -- marking the first time this has been accomplished in school history.
"What a tremendous statement of support by our staff as we strive to provide all of our student-athletes with a first-class experience at Boston University," Director of Athletics Drew Marrochello said. "I am personally grateful to our team for their unanimous support of our mission and am pleased to share this message with our alumni, alumni student-athletes and the community of our commitment, as we ask for their ongoing support as well."
The achievement comes on the heels of a record-breaking period for Athletics Development, as the annual fund is set to shatter last year's totals.
