Mary Parker Monthly Award

Parker Named Hockey East Player of the Month

December 1, 2016

WAKEFIELD, Mass. - Graduate student Mary Parker of the Boston Unviersity women's ice hockey team was named Hockey East Player of the Month, the league office announced on Thursday.

Parker was simply sensational in November to help BU to a 7-2-0 record. She tallied a point in every game during November, totaling 14 in all thanks to nine goals and five assists. She ended the month on an eight-game goal streak, the longest in the nation, and scored a goal in more games in November than any skater, male or female, in the entire country.

A native of Milton, Massachusetts, Parker scored three game-winning goals in November, including an overtime winner on Nov. 26 against Princeton. That goal extended the Terriers' win streak to five games, a streak which will be put on the line this weekend in a home-and-home series with UConn that begins on the road Friday night.
