
Bach, Leslie, Lefort to Represent Canada at Nations Cup

CALGARY, Alta. - Juniors Victoria Bach and Rebecca Leslie of the Boston University women's ice hockey team will join 2016 graduate Sarah Lefort on Canada's National Development Team roster for the 2017 Nations Cup, as announced on Thursday by Hockey Canada.
This will be the second straight time that Bach and Leslie will represent Canada at the Nations Cup, which begins on Jan. 4 in Fussen, Germany. The duo captured gold at the 2016 edition of the tournament. Bach and Leslie also competed for Canada in a three-game series with the United States this summer, each scoring a goal and adding two assists.
Bach enters the weekend of Nov. 25-26 as the Terriers' leading point producer, having tallied 10 goals and 12 assists for 22 points. Leslie is third on the Terriers with 14 points thanks to four goals and 10 assists.
Lefort last skated for Canada in a major tournament during the 2015 Four Nations Cup. She, along with Bach and Leslie, was part of Hockey Canada's Fall Festival in September. Lefort has been terrific in her rookie season with Les Canadiennes of the CWHL, as she is tied for seventh overall and is second among rookies with eight points on four goals and four assists.
Two other Terriers - Marie-Philip Poulin ('15) and Jenn Wakefield ('12) will skate for Canada's National Women's Team in a two-game series with the United States on Dec. 17 and Dec. 19.
