October 17, 2016 | Women's Ice Hockey
WAKEFIELD, Mass. - Graduate student Mary Parker of the Boston University women's ice hockey team was named Hockey East Player of the Week on Monday.
Parker was sensational in two games at Penn State this past weekend. After lighting the lamp in a 3-3 tie on Friday night, Parker turned in a career game on Saturday. She posted a career-high five points thanks to her second collegiate hat trick and two assists as part of a 7-2 Terrier victory. No Division I player - male or female - had more goals (4) or points (6) this past weekend than Parker did. A native of Milton, Massachusetts, Parker shares this week's honor with Jonna Curtis of New Hampshire.
BU will be back in action on Tuesday when the Terriers head to Northeastern at 7 p.m.
