Coming in at No. 9 in this year's Terrier Twelve is the Boston University Department of Athletics capturing a league-record 11th Stuart P. Haskell, Jr. Commissioner's Cup.

The Terriers, which passed Delaware for the most cups in America East history, have now won six straight cups and nine in the last 10 years.

The Commissioner's Cup annually recognizes the strongest athletic program in America East as determined by a scoring system which rewards a school for success both during the regular season and championship competition in the conference's 20 sports.

The Terriers compiled four America East Championships, three regular-season crowns and six runner-up finishes to help net 388 points, the second most in six years under the current scoring system. University at Albany came in second with 353 points with UMBC earning 289 points for third place.

The Terriers swept regular-season and tournament titles in women's soccer for the fourth straight year and won its 18th consecutive women's tennis title. They also captured the men's cross country crown and won the men's basketball title, their first since 2002.

BU's men's soccer and softball programs won regular-season titles while softball, women's basketball, men's and women's swimming & diving and women's indoor & outdoor track field were runners-up at their respective America East Championships.

The Stuart P. Haskell, Jr. Commissioner's Cup is named in honor of the first commissioner of America East. Haskell served as commissioner of the conference from 1987 until his retirement in 1997. The cup is now in its 22nd year, and BU has won it a total of 11 times while finishing runner-up seven other times. The Terriers have never finished lower than third in the point standings.
