Stableford Named to Academic All-Patriot League Team

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Sophomore Shelby Stableford of the Boston University women's cross country team was named to the Academic All-Patriot Team, the conference announced on Monday.

Stableford had a fantastic first season in the Patriot League, as the sophomore harrier placed sixth in the conference championship meet with a time of 22:26.05. Her performance helped the Terriers clinch the team title. Stableford's other top-10 finish came at the Ted Owen Invitational, where she was 10th.

The Colorado Springs, Colo., native also excelled in the classroom, as she maintained a 3.75 grade-point average as an economics major. Stableford is the first BU student to be named to an Academic All-Patriot League squad.

BU will compete in the NCAA Northeast Regional on Saturday (Nov. 15) at Van Cortlandt Park in New York, N.Y.
