CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - The Boston University men's and women's cross country teams swept the Patriot League Runner of the Week awards, as senior Rich Peters and junior Rosa Moriello were each honored by the conference on Monday afternoon.

Peters placed second in his 2013 debut at the New England Championships with a time of 24:05, which also helped the Terriers to a fourth-place finish in the 41-team field. Peters was the runner-up in the race for the second consecutive year and helped BU to a fourth-place finish for the second straight season.

Moriello won the New England Championship with a time of 17:13, 14 seconds clear of the next closest competitor. She is the third consecutive Terrier to win the women's title and the fastest of the trio (Katie Matthews, Monica Adler) to complete the 5K course at Franklin Park.

This was the first time that both harriers were named Patriot League Runner of the Week. The Terriers have now boasted four such honorees this year; Alec Olson and Nikki Long has also won the award.

BU will be back in action on Nov. 2 when the Terriers make their Patriot League Championship debut.
