BOSTON - Boston University junior Whitney Ford has been named the America East Women's Field Performer of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday. Ford won the triple jump and placed second in the long jump at the Battle of Beantown on Saturday.

Ford qualified for the ECAC Championship in both events, leaping 5.81m in the long jump and posting an 11.93m mark in the triple jump. Also an accomplished sprinter, the White Plains, N.Y., native posted a 7.84 in the 60m dash and a 26.62 in the 200m dash at Saturday's meet in Allston.

Ford is the defending America East indoor champion in both the 55m dash and the long jump.
