Led by second-year head coach Joe Jones, the Boston University men’s basketball team enters the 2012-13 season seeking its third postseason berth in the last four years. The Terriers return three starters, including Preseason All-Conference honoree D.J. Irving who led the league last season in assists at 5.4 apg.
Led by ninth-year head coach Kelly Greenberg, the Boston University women’s basketball team returns 10 letterwinners, including three starters from last year’s 23-9 squad that advanced to the first round of the WNIT. The Terriers will host a combined six non-conference opponents in November and December.
Led by senior captain Wade Megan, the Boston University men’s ice hockey team will play 18 contests at home this season, starting off with an exhibition game against the University of Toronto on Sunday, Oct. 7. Click here to purchase season tickets.
This past summer, Boston University formally accepted an invitation to move 20 of its 25 teams to the Patriot League on July 1, 2013 for the 2013-14 season. Formed as an all-sport conference in 1990-91, the league features American, Army, Bucknell, Colgate, Holy Cross, Lafayette, Lehigh and Navy .

AS A GRADUATE STUDENT IN 2012-13
During the indoor season, was an All-America selection in both the 3,000m run and 5,000m run ... Finished fifth in the 5,000m run at the NCAA Championships with a school-record time of 15:42.27 en route to being named a First Team All-American ... That time broke her previous school record of 15:46.13, set at the Terrier Invitational on Jan. 25 ... Was 11th in the 3,000m run at the NCAA Championships (9:17.71) to earn Second Team All-America accolades ... Broke the school record in the 3,000m run with a time of 9:05.73 at the Husky Classic ... Named America East Track Performer of the Week for two consecutive weeks (Jan. 22 and 29) ... Named GoTerriers.com Student-Athlete of the Week on Jan. 28 ... Shattered BU's record in the 5,000m run with a time of 15:46.13 for a second-place finish at the Terrier Invitational on Jan. 25 ... Posted a then-NCAA-best time of 9:14.71 in the 3,000m run for a first place finish at the Multi-Teem Meet on Jan. 17.
AS A SENIOR IN 2011-12
During the indoor season, set a new school record in the 5,000m run with a time of 15:52.80 ... Won the mile run at the Battle of Beantown (4:46.95) .... Finished first in the 3,000m run at the BU Multi-Team Meet (9:17.80).
AS A JUNIOR IN 2010-11
During the indoor season, finished in the top-three in every race ... At the America East Championships, took first in the 5000m with a time of 16:06.38 and third in the 3000m with a time of 9:31.94 ... Finished sixth at the NCAA Championships in the 5000m with a time of 16:13.21 and earned All- American honors ... In the outdoor season, placed first in the 5000m with a time of 16:26.41 ... Earned first team All- American honors after placing 8th in the 10,000m final at the NCAA Championships ... Made it to the USA Nationals.
AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2009-10
During the indoor season, competed in the 3,000m run at the BU Multi-Team Meet (third/9:54.88), Battle of Beantown (first/10:01.48), AE Championships (fifth/9:58.32)... Also participated in the one-mile run at the Terrier Invitational (ninth/5:03.23) and 5,000m run at the AE Championships (fourth/17:16.71) ... In the outdoor season, competed in the 5,000m run at the Carolina Classic (fifth/17:51.48), Florida Relays (15th/17:36.6) ... Placed second (35:32.03) in the 10,000-meter run at the AE Championships and earned all-conference honors ... Won the 10,000-meter run at the ECAC Championships (35:36.29).
AS A FRESHMAN IN 2008-09
During the indoor season, competed in the 3,000-meter run at the Battle of Beantown (12th/10:27.18), America East Championships (seventh/10:13.63) ... Also participated in the 5,000m run at the AE Championships (sixth/17:45.89) ... Member of BU's AE indoor championship squad ... During the outdoor season, won the 3,000m steeplechase at the Snowflake Invitational (11:42.06) ...
