Whitney Ford joined the track & field staff in 2011 as a volunteer assistant coach after a decorated career as a Terrier.

AS A GRADUATE STUDENT IN 2010-11

During the outdoor season, finished in first place in the triple jump (12.63m) at the AE Championships ... Set meet and school records at the AE Championships as part of the 4x100 team, finishing with a time of 45.73 ... Had season best 12.68m in the triple jump at the ECACs to take third ... In first appearance at the NCAA Championships, finished in 23rd place in the triple jump, and earned US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Honorable Mention All- American Status honors ...

AS A SENIOR IN 2009-10

During the indoor season, competed in the 55-meter dash (prelims-7.25, finals-7.32) and long jump (first/5.70m) the Jay Carisella Invitational ... Won the 55m dash at the BU Multi-Team Meet (7.18) ... Also competed in the 200-meter dash (25.23) and triple jump (12.19m) ... Won the triple jump (12.27m) and placed second in the long jump (5.79m) at the AE championships... Also competed in the 200m dash (prelims-25.25, finals-25.15) ... Earned all-conference honors.

AS A JUNIOR IN 2008-09

Placed first in the triple jump and qualified for ECAC Championship with 11.93m mark at the Battle of Beantown on Feb. 7 ...Also qualified for ECACs with 5.81m leap in the long jump, placing second at the meet ... Captured the long jump title at ECAC Indoor Championships with season-best 5.97m jump ... Opened outdoor season by taking triple jump (11.37m) and 4x100m relay (46.84) titles and placing third in 100m dash (12.41) at Tufts Snowflake Classic ... Qualified for ECACs in 4x100m relay at Tufts snowflake classic and qualified for NCAA Regionals in triple jump with 12.34m mark at the Connecticut Spring Invitational ... At the America East Outdoor Championships, captured 4x100m relay title (46.23), placed fourth in triple jump (12.44m), second in long jump (5.81m), and qualified for ECACs with time of 11.94 in 100m qualifying round ...Helped set school record in 4x100m relay at ECAC Championships with time of 46.07.

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2007-08

Part of the 4x100m relay team that set a school record (46.47) at the NCAA East Regional and won the America East Championship (46.51) ... Set a personal record with a long jump of 6.16m at the ECAC Championship ... Finished second to teammate Tahari James in the long jump (5.85m) and triple jump (12.39m) at the America East Outdoor Championship, qualifying for the ECAC Championship and NCAA regionals in both events ... Finished first in the Eastern collegiate triple jump at the Penn Relays (12.74m) ... Won the long jump at the UConn Invitational (5.87m) ... Ran a season-best 12.13 100m dash at the Spec Towns Invitational ... Won the 100m dash at the Tufts Invitational (12.59) ... Was the high scorer at the America East Indoor Championship, winning the 55m dash (7.12) and long jump (5.97m) while placing third in the 200m dash (24.76) and second in the triple jump (12.77m) ... Finished third in the triple jump at the New England Indoor Championship with a 12.77m distance.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2006-07

Competed in the long jump in all but two meets during the indoor season, earning top-10 finishes in all outings ... Placed fourth at the America East Indoor Championship with a 12.01m triple jump ... Earned the seventh spot at the New England Championship with an 11.62m triple jump ... Placed third at the 2007 USA Jr. Track and Field Championships in the triple jump.

BEFORE BOSTON UNIVERSITY

Attended White Plains High School ... Broke school records in long jump (5.38m) and the 4x200m her freshman year ... Was named to all-county, all-section and all-league teams all four years ... During her sophomore year, was a state qualifier in the long jump and placed in the top 10 in the state ... As a junior, qualified in the long jump, earning eighth, and finishing third in the triple jump ... Held both the indoor and outdoor triple jump records and broke the section 1 record in the 4x100m, earning her MVP honors in the county meet ... During senior year, placed fourth in the long jump and first in the triple jump for the state ... Given the top field performer award at the Hispanic Games ...
