Top-seeded Women's Tennis Advances in America East Tournament; Blanks Hartford, 9-0

BURLINGTON, VT -- The top-seeded Boston University women's tennis took one step closer to achieving its fifth straight America East title as it advanced to the semifinals as a result of a 9-0 blanking of eighth-seeded Hartford.

The Terriers took all six singles matches in straight sets, and won all three doubles matches by 8-0 scores.

B.U. will now face the winner of the Towson/Drexel match on Saturday, April 24 at 3 p.m. The winner of that match will move to the championship, which will be held on Sunday at 12 noon. The champion will earn an automatic berth to the NCAA Division I Championships.
