Women's Tennis Falls, 6-1, to #41 Florida International

BOSTON - Boston University women's tennis team (5-3) dropped a tough match against #41 Florida International, 6-1, on Tuesday Mar. 11 in Miami, Fla. FIU is the first ranked opponent that the Terriers have faced this season. Junior Cori Lefkowith's (Clayton, Mo.) No. 4 singles victory was the lone win for the Terriers. Lefkowith defeated Pricilla Castillo 6-1, 6-4 in 4th singles. The Panthers made a clean sweep of the other five singles matches. For only the second time this season the Terriers failed to win the doubles point in a match. The Terriers return to action Thursday, Mar. 13 when they take on Temple in Boca Raton, Fla. at 1 p.m.
