BOSTON – Sophomore Eve Kinsella picked up her second individual crown, and fourth overall for the Terriers, on Sunday evening in the final night of the 2007 America East Swimming and Diving Championships. The women’s team finished second overall, while the men took home fourth-place honors.

Sophomore Christina Ruggiero opened up the final night of competition with a second-place finish in the grueling 1650-free race. Ruggiero and Maine’s Colleen Miller battled through most of the race for the second-place spot. After dropping into third by almost three seconds, Ruggiero began to chip away at Miller’s lead and on the 29th lap the sophomore out of Wilmington, Del., pulled ahead for good. Ruggiero finished in 16:51.79, over three seconds ahead of Miller. Also competing in the event was freshman Liisa Young, finishing in sixth place in a time of 17:32.80.
