Led by second-year head coach Joe Jones, the Boston University men’s basketball team enters the 2012-13 season seeking its third postseason berth in the last four years. The Terriers return three starters, including Preseason All-Conference honoree D.J. Irving who led the league last season in assists at 5.4 apg.
Led by ninth-year head coach Kelly Greenberg, the Boston University women’s basketball team returns 10 letterwinners, including three starters from last year’s 23-9 squad that advanced to the first round of the WNIT. The Terriers will host a combined six non-conference opponents in November and December.
Led by senior captain Wade Megan, the Boston University men’s ice hockey team will play 18 contests at home this season, starting off with an exhibition game against the University of Toronto on Sunday, Oct. 7. Click here to purchase season tickets.
This past summer, Boston University formally accepted an invitation to move 20 of its 25 teams to the Patriot League on July 1, 2013 for the 2013-14 season. Formed as an all-sport conference in 1990-91, the league features American, Army, Bucknell, Colgate, Holy Cross, Lafayette, Lehigh and Navy .

AS A SENIOR IN 2012-13: Placed second in the 1650 freestyle (16.49, 41), fifth in the 500 freestyle (4:55.29) and competed in 200 freestyle finals at the ECAC Championships.
AS A JUNIOR IN 2011-12: Placed third in the 1650 freestyle (16:58.27), fifth in the 500 freestyle (4:53.47) and eighth in the 400 IM (4:28.67) at the America East Championship ... Earned six top three finishes in the 1000 freestyle, including four victories, during the regular season ... Claimed four second place finishes in the 500 freestyle during the regular season.
AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2010-2011: Swam in three events at the 2011 AE Championships ... Placed in the top 15 in all three events ... Came in sixth in the 1650 freestyle (17:12.46), 13th in the 500 freestyle (5:03.29) and 15th in the 400 IM (4:34.71).
AS A FRESHMAN IN 2009-10: Swam in three events at the 2010 America East Swimming and Diving Championships and set personal records in the 400 IM with a time of 4:36.54 to finish 14th overall, and in the grueling 1,650 free with a time of 17:15.23 to finish seventh ... Also competed in the 500 free and placed 11th.
BEFORE BOSTON UNIVERSITY: Finished in the top 6 in the 200 and 500 free at the PIAA AAA Districts as a freshman and sophomore and went on to finish in the top 16 at the state level ... Was a four-time all-conference first team honoree in the 200 and 500 free ... Three-time qualifier for the YMCA Spring Nationals ... In her senior season, finished 16th in the 1650 free at the YMCA Spring Nationals and the team finished third overall ... Member of the National Honor Society.
