Women's Lunch Place 

On Saturday, January 28th, the BU softball team had 15 volunteers at the Women's Lunch Place located on Newbury Street in Boston. The team had two groups go from 8-10am and 10am-12pm.

The morning shift consisted of preparing food for breakfast and serving it to the women who came in to eat at the day shelter. The mid-morning shift set up a game of BINGO with a prize table. The Terriers also sorted through donations of books and cleaned up their new library located at the facility.

The Women's Lunch Place provides a safe, comfortable daytime shelter, nutritious food, and services for women who are homeless or poor. The facility's goal is to treat women with dignity and respect and foster a community committed to meeting each woman's needs.
