Led by second-year head coach Joe Jones, the Boston University men’s basketball team enters the 2012-13 season seeking its third postseason berth in the last four years. The Terriers return three starters, including Preseason All-Conference honoree D.J. Irving who led the league last season in assists at 5.4 apg.
Led by ninth-year head coach Kelly Greenberg, the Boston University women’s basketball team returns 10 letterwinners, including three starters from last year’s 23-9 squad that advanced to the first round of the WNIT. The Terriers will host a combined six non-conference opponents in November and December.
Led by senior captain Wade Megan, the Boston University men’s ice hockey team will play 18 contests at home this season, starting off with an exhibition game against the University of Toronto on Sunday, Oct. 7. Click here to purchase season tickets.
This past summer, Boston University formally accepted an invitation to move 20 of its 25 teams to the Patriot League on July 1, 2013 for the 2013-14 season. Formed as an all-sport conference in 1990-91, the league features American, Army, Bucknell, Colgate, Holy Cross, Lafayette, Lehigh and Navy .

Was the only Northeaster batter on any of the All-America teams and one of just 12 non-BCS student-athletes on any of the three teams ... 2010 America East Player of the Year and AE All-Conference First Team honoree ... ECAC Player of the Year ... Named to the NFCA All-Northeast Region First Team ... Batted above .500 for most of the season ... Ranked fifth in the nation batting average (.482), fifth in on-base percentage (.579), eighth in slugging percentage (.861), and ninth in runs per game (1.11) ... Shattered the single-season record for batting average (.482) by nearly 70 percentage points and finished 2010 with five additional school records: hits (80) doubles (19), runs (63), RBI (52) and slugging percentage (.861) ... Earned Easton All-American Third Team honors and 2009 ECAC Division I All-Star First Team accolades ... Started 50 of the 52 games she played in ... Averaged .396, fifth all-time in program history ... Broke the single season doubles record with 15 two-baggers ... Led the team in slugging percentage (.651), on base percentage (.452), home runs (8) and total bases (110) and had 29 RBIs despite being injured ... Had 19 multi-hit games including a 10-game hitting streak racking up six RBIs, seven runs and 16 hits in those ten games ... Had a 3-for-3 day on April 5 against UMBC.
AS A FRESHMAN IN 2008: An America East All-Conference First Team and All-Rookie honoree ... Named the 2008 America East Rookie of the Year ... Earned a spot on the 2008 ECAC Division I All-Star Second Team ... A TPS Louisville Slugger Second Team All-Northeast Region member ... Ranked fourth in the conference in batting (.354), runs scored (34), hits (58) and doubles (12) ... Played in all 52 games ... Honored as the America East Rookie of the Week (April 14) after batting .476 in six games in her 21 at-bats, while connecting on 10 hits, including a double and a triple and driving in three runs ... Had 17 games with multiple hits, including a 4-for-4 hitting exhibition against Maine on April 9 ... Hit above .350 against righties, with runners on base, with two outs and also with runners in scoring position ... Earned America East Academic Honor roll status for maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
BEFORE BOSTON UNIVERSITY: Was a three-year starter at South Torrance ... Was a First Team All-Bay League selection in 2005 and 2006 and a member of the Mizzuno Pride, which played in the 2006 ASA Gold Nationals .... During the summer of 2006, hit .489, stole 58 bases and scored 62 runs in 48 games ... Recorded a .535 on base percentage and hit four home runs as the lead off hitter.
