After capturing the America East regular-season title with a perfect record against conference opponents, the Boston University women's lacrosse team earns the No. 9 spot in this year's Terrier Twelve.

BU won 11 games, the most since the 2010 campaign, and had a 6-0 record against conference competition to earn its sixth regular-season crown. The Terriers earned home-field advantage for the America East tournament and were victorious five times at Nickerson Field.

The Terriers opened their schedule with several games against ranked opponents, including road games against Massachusetts and Dartmouth and a home contest against Notre Dame. Dartmouth and Notre Dame finished 10th and ninth, respectively, in the final national poll.

The turning point for the Terriers' season came during their annual spring break trip, as they defeated California and Saint Mary's to begin a seven-game win streak and a stretch of eight wins in nine games to close the regular-season schedule. Much of the Terriers' success was thanks to their great play in the second half. During the win streak they outscored opponents, 28-12, in the final 30 minutes of a game. The Terriers also had a flair for the dramatic, as they erased seven and five-goal deficits against UMBC and Albany, respectively, to earn crucial conference road wins.

Junior attack Danielle Etrasco was named a Third Team All-American after she had a standout season. The U.S. National Team member scored a career-high 58 goals and added a career-high 22 assists for 80 points, which exceeded her previous career best by 15 points. She was also named to the IWLCA Northeast All-Region First Team and earned America East First Team All-Conference honors.

Etrasco was not the only Terrier to receive conference honors, as freshman Mallory Collins was named America East Rookie of the Year. The Boston, Mass., native burst onto the scene with a fantastic freshman campaign. She scored 46 goals and had nine assists for 55 points, which ranked her second on the squad. Junior defender Brittany Carlin joined Etrasco on the All-Conference First Team, while junior Monica Baumgartner and senior Molly Swain each joined Collins on the All-Conference Second Team.

Senior Catie Tilton set a new school record with nine assists against Saint Mary's en route to a career-best total of 35 helpers. Five Terriers had over 20 goals and six Terriers collected over 20 points, as the offensive production was spread among several key contributors. In goal, Christina Sheridan had a career-high 124 saves during the season, including a record 15 against Canisius.

BU will return three All-Conference honorees from last year's team as well as the top three goal-scorers and starting goalkeeper from the 2012 squad.
