BOSTON - After a crosstown win at Harvard on Wednesday, the 11th-ranked Boston University lacrosse team (4-2) returns home to host 15th-ranked Notre Dame (3-1) on Saturday (March 20) at noon at Nickerson Field. The Terriers have won nine straight games at home and will be facing the Fighting Irish for the first time in program history.

Notre Dame visits Boston a week after rallying from a three-goal deficit to beat California in overtime, 14-12, in Berkeley, Calif. The Irish are 2-0 on the road this season after opening their campaign with a 13-12 win at Hofstra. Junior All-American midfielder Shaylyn Blaney scored four goals and junior midfielder Kailene Abt led Notre Dame with five points (2g, 3a) in the come-from-behind victory over the Golden Bears. Abt leads the team with 14 points (10g, 4a) this season, while Blaney has netted a team-best 12 goals. Freshman Ellie Hilling has handled netminding duties, posting an 11.22 goals-against average.

Senior All-American attack McKinley Curro and classmate Jenny Taft each scored three goals for the Terriers in Wednesday's 13-9 win over Harvard at Cumnock Field. Curro added four assists to total seven points, while senior attack Traci Landy and freshman midfielder Kristen Mogavero each chipped in a pair of goals.

Curro has tallied 16 points this season (11g, 5a), while Landy leads the team with 16 goals and one assist and has netted the game-winning goals in three of BU's four wins this season. Senior Rachel Klein has played the bulk of the minutes in goal, where she has posted an 8.36 GAA.

Notre Dame and BU are facing off for the first time, but the Fighting Irish have visited Nickerson Field before. Notre Dame lost to Dartmouth, 14-8, in the 2006 NCAA semifinals that were hosted by Boston University.
