CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Sophomore goaltender Christina Sheridan was named America East Defender of the Week and freshman attack Mallory Collins collected Rookie of the Week honors, the conference announced on Monday.

Sheridan made a season-high 10 saves to lead BU to its first victory of the season, a 16-8 win at George Mason on Saturday. She leads the league with a .458 save percentage and is tops among conference goalkeepers with an average of 9.00 saves per game.

Collins earned Rookie of the Week honors for the second straight week thanks to a six-point effort at George Mason. She scored a career-high five goals and added an assist. She is fifth in the conference this year with 3.33 goals per game and 10th in the America East with 3.67 points per game.

BU will next be in action on Wednesday when the Terriers travel to Hanover, N.H., to face Dartmouth. Game time is set for 3 p.m.
