Anne Sheridan enters her second season as the top assistant on the Boston University women's lacrosse staff in 2009. A former first-team All-American, Sheridan has been associated with the Terrier program as either a player or coach for the past six seasons.

Since wrapping up her standout playing career at BU two years ago, Sheridan has served as an assistant coach, working primarily with the team's goalkeepers. She will coordinate the team's defensive unit in her new role, in addition to spearheading the program's alumnae relations.

Sheridan, the first and only goalkeeper in BU history to earn first-team All-America honors, was named the 2005 America East Player of the Year after leading the Terriers to a program-best 18-2 record. She led the NCAA in save percentage (.573) that season and was named Goalkeeper of the Year by Inside Lacrosse.

A member of the 2003-04 U.S. National Development Team, Sheridan graduated from BU's College of Arts and Sciences with a degree in psychology.
