Led by second-year head coach Joe Jones, the Boston University men’s basketball team enters the 2012-13 season seeking its third postseason berth in the last four years. The Terriers return three starters, including Preseason All-Conference honoree D.J. Irving who led the league last season in assists at 5.4 apg.
Led by ninth-year head coach Kelly Greenberg, the Boston University women’s basketball team returns 10 letterwinners, including three starters from last year’s 23-9 squad that advanced to the first round of the WNIT. The Terriers will host a combined six non-conference opponents in November and December.
Led by senior captain Wade Megan, the Boston University men’s ice hockey team will play 18 contests at home this season, starting off with an exhibition game against the University of Toronto on Sunday, Oct. 7. Click here to purchase season tickets.
This past summer, Boston University formally accepted an invitation to move 20 of its 25 teams to the Patriot League on July 1, 2013 for the 2013-14 season. Formed as an all-sport conference in 1990-91, the league features American, Army, Bucknell, Colgate, Holy Cross, Lafayette, Lehigh and Navy .

Clinic will take place at BU Track and Tennis Center for players in Grades 7-12
Katie Hertsch enters her first season with the Boston University lacrosse team as an assistant coach in 2012. She brings a wealth of collegiate and international experience to the Terriers.
In her role at BU, Hertsch will primarily work with the defense. She will also assist in developing practice plans, scouting and contacting recruits, planning camps and clinics, and breaking down film.
Prior to coming to BU, Hertsch spent the past four seasons at Hofstra. There, she earned All-CAA First Team honors in 2010 and 2011, as well as IWLCA All-Region honors in 2010 and 2011. Hertsch was also named to the 2011 Tewaaraton Watch List. She also served as team captain in 2011. Hertsch finished her career at Hofstra third all-time in ground balls (138), fifth all-time in caused turnovers (70) and sixth all-time in draw controls (110). Before arriving at Hofstra, she played one season at Ohio University before its program was discontinued.
Hertsch has been a member of the U.S. National Team since 2010.
A Westminster, Md., native, Hertsch graduated Hofstra in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education. She currently resides in South Boston.
