The No. 5/6 Boston University women's hockey team continues its three-game homestand with a contest against the New Hampshire Wildcats on Saturday afternoon at Walter Brown Arena. Puck drop is scheduled for 3 p.m.

BU (6-4-1, 1-1-0 WHEA) is coming off a home-and-home series with fourth-ranked Boston College that saw the two teams each win on the road. The Terriers came away with a 4-1 victory on Nov. 2 at BC before the Eagles visited Walter Brown last Saturday and defeated BU, 3-1.

Senior captain Jenn Wakefield, who is currently with Team Canada at the Four Nations Cup in Sweden, leads the Terriers in goals (9) and points (16). Senior Jenelle Kohanchuk (4-5--9) and junior Isabel Menard (3-6--9) are tied for second on the team in scoring, with rookie Kayla Tutino (6-2--8) sitting in fourth place.

Sophomore Kerrin Sperry will likely be between the pipes against the Wildcats. She has been one of the Terriers' most consistent players this season, making at least 30 saves in each of her last six starts. Sperry has posted a 4-4-1 record with a 2.49 goals-against average and a .929 save percentage.

UNH (4-4-2, 0-2-1) snapped a six-game winless streak on Sunday with a 5-4 overtime win at Dartmouth. Three Wildcats sit atop the team leaderboard with seven points each. Junior Kristine Horn leads the Wildcats with five goals (5-2--7), while sophomore Nicole Gifford (2-5--7) has a team-best five assists. Junior Kristina Lavoie is the third UNH skater with seven points (4-3--7).

Freshman Jenn Gilligan has started eight games this year for UNH, compiling a 3-3-2 record. She has posted a 2.34 goals-against average and an .891 save percentage.

Saturday's matchup against the Wildcats will be the lone game of the weekend for the Terriers. Next up will be a home date with the Connecticut Huskies at Walter Brown Arena. Game time is set for 3 p.m.
