2012-13 Roster
BOSTON - Eight newcomers, including seven freshmen and one transfer, will join the Boston University women's ice hockey team for the 2012-13 season, head coach Brian Durocher announced on Tuesday.
Junior transfer Shannon Doyle will help bolster the Terrier blue line, as she comes to BU with two years of Division I experience under her belt at Colgate.
Forwards Jordan Juron, Sarah Lefort, Lillian Ribeirinha-Braga, Rebecca Russo and Dakota Woodworth join defensemen Diana Bennett and Alexis Woloschuk as part of the seven-member freshman class.
"The Class of 2016 includes seven freshmen and one transfer who I expect will bring academic, athletic and community excellence to our program," said Durocher, who will enter his eighth season behind the BU bench. "Assistant coaches Katie Lachapelle and Allison Coomey have worked tirelessly to bring high quality student athletes to Boston University and our program. The recruiting landscape has become more competitive each year and I thank my staff for attracting this group of young ladies to our campus. Our staff is confident that these talented individuals will continue the tradition of excellence during the next four years."
