After arguably the Terriers' most successful season in their five-year varsity history, Melissa Anderson and Melissa Haber shared the Boston University women's ice hockey team's most valuable player award. Both Anderson and Haber capped their four-year careers with BU's first-ever Hockey East title and NCAA tournament berth.

An All-Hockey East Second Team selection, Anderson set BU single-season records in both goals (21) and points (39). In addition, the Langley, B.C., native left the Terriers as the program's all-time scoring leader with 132 points (57g, 75a). She was named to the Hockey East All-Star Team that participated in an exhibition game against the U.S. Women's National Team in November and was nominated for the Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award, presented to the nation's top women's collegiate ice hockey player. In 2009-10, Anderson was named Hockey East Player of the Week once and received Hockey East Honor Roll recognition five times.

During her senior campaign, Haber posted a 15-8-8 mark and four shutouts while setting BU single-season records with a 1.57 goals-against average and .940 save percentage. In the Hockey East tournament, she garnered MVP honors after stopping 42 of 43 shots in the final two games, including a 17-save performance in a 4-0 whitewash against nationally-ranked New Hampshire in the semifinals. A two-time Hockey East Player of the Week selection, Haber produced two five-game unbeaten streaks during the season. The Toronto, Ont., native was also named to the Hockey East Honor Roll five times.

In addition to their individual accolades, the pair was selected to participate in the NCAA Frozen Four Skills Challenge in Detroit. Anderson was one of six female skaters and Haber was one of two goaltenders chosen for the challenge.
