Loudonville, N.Y. - Sophomore Ana Johnson sits in first place after one round of the America East Women's Golf Championship on Saturday afternoon at the Shaker Ridge Country Club in Loudonville, N.Y. Johnson carded an impressive 75, a conference championship record. As a team, the Terriers currently stand in second place overall at 333, just 13 strokes behind Albany.

Since 2004, only three golfers have recorded sub-80 18-hole scores and on Saturday afternoon Johnson led four America East golfers to the feat. The Oconomowoc, Wis, native shot one under par on the final seven holes of the course to hold a four-stroke lead over her closest competitors.

Junior Kaitlyn Mardeusz is in eighth place with a first-round total of 84, while senior Allison Hamilton and sophomore Dana DeStefano are tied for 10th after carding an 87. Senior Lauren Stong is in 13th place with an 88, and shot a 40 on the back nine.

The Terriers will look to catch up to the Great Danes on Sunday afternoon in the final day of the championship.
