Durham, N.H.
Both teams enter the night with 3-0 conference records and Friday's winner will clinch at least a share of the America East regular-season title. These two squads split the league's regular-season crown last fall.
New Hampshire has alternated wins and losses its last eight games and will be looking to rebound from a 6-2 loss at Boston College on Sunday.
The Terriers are also coming off loss, having dropped a 1-0 road contest against Hofstra on Sunday. UNH will be the eighth ranked team BU has faced this season.
The Wildcats are paced offensively by junior Hannah Richard, who leads the squad in both points (26) and goals (11). Classmate Megan Bozek and Meg Flatley have added seven goals apiece and junior Casey Pohlmeyer has contributed a team-best seven assists.
Sophomore Carlie Tarbell has started all 14 games in goal for the Wildcats and boasts a 2.51 goals-against average and a .706 save percentage.
Senior Jacinda McLeod (7g) and junior Ella Gunson (4g, 6a) share the BU lead in points at 14 while senior Tabi Hatch has recorded eight points on four goals. Four other Terriers have tallied at least two goals.
The Terrier defense ranks 13th in the nation in goals-against average at 1.44 thanks in large part to senior Jess Maroney, a three-time America East Defensive Player of the Week who ranks second and sixth in the country in save percentage (.840) and GAA (1.09), respectively.
BU will be looking to avenge the recent success UNH has had in the teams' series, as the Wildcats have won the last three meetings. The Terriers still hold a 19-17-3 all-time record against UNH.
