* Former assistant coach Tiffany Snow was named to the U.S. National Team for the Beijing Olympics. Team USA opens Olympic Games competition on Sunday, Aug. 10, against 2007 Pan American champion Argentina. The U.S. is slotted in Pool B with Argentina, Germany, Great Britain, Japan and New Zealand. The team recently completed a three-game test series against the Netherlands - the top-ranked team in the world - and battled to a 2-2 draw in the finale.

* Snow joined Pam Spuehler on the New England HPC squad that defeated the Midwest team, 3-0, to capture its first-ever title at the National Championship, held June 13-21 at the National Training Center in Virginia Beach. Rising senior Lizzie Perreault was part of New England's training squad. Spuehler will stay with the BU program as a student assistant coach this fall.

* Rising sophomore Kim Kastuk was named to the 2008-09 U.S. Junior Squad after being selected to take part in this summer's Junior National Camp.

* Rising junior Gabby Hajjar recently completed an internship in Dubai and was recently featured on BU Today.
