Despite a choppy Charles River and gusty winds, the Boston University women's crew team put forth a strong effort at the annual Foot of the Charles Regatta on Saturday, November 15, led by a second place finish by the Varsity 8 boat.

The Terriers also had three boats compete in the varsity four, placing fifth, 10th and 12th on the 2.5 mile course, which was moved upstream due to the choppy conditions.

The Varsity 8 crew finished the course in 15:22, second only to Radcliffe's time of 15:01.6.

In the Varsity 4, B.U.'s 'A' boat took fifth with a time of 15:23.9, a mere 1.2 seconds slower than Brown.
