Hanover, N.H. - The Boston University women's novice crew had two boats place in the top five at the Green Monster Freshman Invitational hosted by Dartmouth College on Saturday, Nov. 4.

The boats raced three miles against the clock, head-style, and the schools were ranked by the total combined time of their top two boats.

The women's team finished second overall among the crews. The BU "A" boat finished fourth out of 15 boats with a time of 16:24. The "BU" boat came in right behind, in fifth place, with a time of 16:27. Olivia Knott coxed the boat of stroke Holly Moore, Ursula Opalka, Angela Thrower, Jackie Hellen, Alyssa Snow, Elizabeth Carr, Katie Faris, and bow Kristen Koproske.

Cox Taryn Goba guided the eight composed of stroke Stephanie Russo, Megan Filoon, Megan Reilly, Meredith Walsh, Sarah Hughes, Caitlin Welch-Rubin, Vanessa Musto and bow Clare McNicholas.

The Terriers' "C" boat - cox Jennifer Singer, stroke Stephanie Nelson, Jessica So, Caroline Claps, Laurie Jensen, Alexandra Coughlin, Jackie Minahan, Audrey Flemming, and bow Jessie Lathrop - placed 13th in 15:44
