The Terrier women's crews were in action over the weekend as the novices competed at the novice-only Dartmouth Invitational, while the varsity rowed at the Princeton Chase in New Jersey.

The novices entered three boats at Dartmouth on Saturday, October 25th, and had a strong showing as they finished second, fourth and fifth. The overall placements were determined by the combined time of the fastest two boats so Dartmouth won the overall event. The Terriers came in second, ahead of Radcliffe, New Hampshire, and MIT.

Individually, the B.U. A novice boat was timed in 18:28, while the B boat was fourth in 19:08 and the C boat was just behind in 19:47. The Dartmouth A boat won the race in 17:58, and the Big Green B shell was third in 18:35.

Then, on Sunday, October 26th, the varsity rowed an outstanding race in finishing seventh out of 51 boats entered at the Princeton Chase. Their time of 18:04.7 trailed sixth-place Yale by a little more than six seconds, as the Elis were clocked in 17:58.2. The Princeton A boat won the event in 17:25.2, followed by Syracuse (17:39.4), Virginia A (17:43.0), Virginia C (17:50.6), Princeton C (17:50.8), Yale, and B.U.
