Women Rowers Break into Top 10 at Head of the Charles

The Terrier women's rowing team had two Top 10 finishes at the Head of the Charles

The Terrier women's rowing team finished ninth in both the Youth Four race and the Championship Eight race at the Head of the Charles Regatta on Sunday (October 21st).

The Terriers' top squad edged out the University of Southern California for a ninth-place finish in the Championship Eights event, finishing in a time of 16:51.03. B.U. was the seventh collegiate boat to finish, besting regional rivals Northeastern, Boston College, and UMass/Amherst.

The U.S. Rowing team won in a time of 16:01.69, while Princeton finished second and first among collegiate squads, crossing the line in 16:10.84.

The second B.U. boat finished in 30th place at 17:39.75, racing past Georgetown, Connecticut College, and the U.S. Military Academy.

The B.U. women also competed in the Youth Fours event, placing ninth in a time of 19:59.85. The winning Princeton boat finished a minute ahead of the Terriers, crossing the line at 18:58.40.
